Brand New Class for Brand New PhotographersBasic Level - 2 Day Course

This course will build a solid foundation of the fundamentals of portrait photography. Selection and use of the proper equipment, i.e., cameras, lenses, lighting equipment, light meters, computers begin the course. Posing and lighting and digital capture round out the photography portion of the class The final phase revolves around computer setup and efficient workflow of files for archiving, retrieval and printing.

Course will cover:

• Camera settings, lenses – proper exposure
  
• Light quality – controlling light, studio and on location
  
• Using flash indoors and out
  
• Basic posing and lighting
  
• White balance procedures – raw or jpeg
  
• Profiling monitors
  
• Photoshop setup and uses
  
• Use of PhotoShop actions
  
• Retouching & enhancement techniques
  
• Understanding digital workflow
  

Prerequisites:

• Desire to produce high quality portraits
• Desire to make digital photography easy, fun and profitable
• Eagerness to learn
